Today I have a super quick haul,
sorry for being MIA, but I’m back!
Today I have a super quick haul,
sorry for being MIA, but I’m back!
Here’s a super quick tutorial showing my everyday eye!
Too Faced Natural Eye Palette
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black
Covergirl LashBlast Volume in Blackest Black
NYX Blush in Pinched
Rimmel Sun Bronze
elf Golden Bronzer
MAC Viva Glam Gaga 1st Edition lipstick
MAC Cremesheen in Deelight
Here’s a haul from a really really really long time ago,
like over a month, it’s from my birthday!
I just have a quick collective haul today.
I’m hopefully going to film a tutorial today so look out for that this afternoon/tonight!
CoverGirl Lashblast Fusion in Black
Rimmel nail polish in Steel Grey
Organix Shampoo in Tea Tree Mint
Organix Conditioner in Pomegranate Green Tea
Urban Decay Smoke Out Pencils in Maui Wowie and Green Goddess
Urban Decay Loose Pigments in Smog, Shag, Rockstar, Gunmetal, and Goddess.
When I did my e.l.f hauls a few weeks ago I promised I would review the products.
Thankfully someone reminded me a while ago and I spent a little while taking new pictures since I finally found my camera charger!
Sorry it’s taken me so long to do this, but here we go;
WARNING: This post has A LOT of pictures!
I’ll just do it by category: eyes, lips, face.
Bottom Row: Periwinkle, Dusk
Top Row has primer
I really love the idea of e.l.f’s custom compacts.
They’re customizable and CHEAP!
The colors are all wonderful and you can pick so many things
NOTE: they also have lip and face pans, but there wasn’t any at Target.
When applied with primer the colors I chose are okay, but not as vivid as the swatch looks.
They wear off a bit, even with primer.
I might try this again with different colors, and maybe the lip/face stuff.
I really want to like it!!!
Firstly the Eye Widener.
This is pearl, not white, it’s almost shiny.
I tried to use this like NYX’s jumbo eye pencil in Milk, around the tear duct,
but it turned gray….
I tried to use it on my waterline, but it disappeared within seconds.
I was kind of annoyed, but I’ll hopefully find some other use for it.
The pencil is very creamy, so that’s a plus.
The Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil is NOT for the waterline or the lower lashline.
On the lower lashline it comes out pink and has no shimmer.
However, when put over a dark-ish shadow on the lid it is as very pretty shimmery purple.
Also creamy, but sharpen regularly.
The e.l.f essentials lipsticks each cost a dollar, considering they are form the $1 line!, and are well worth that dollar.
These two that I have are beautiful, and very creamy.
The color payoff is good and they last quite a long time.
Classy is a beautiful pink with mauve-y tones and Seductive is a coral-red.
They are both really pretty colors.
The only problem is the website swatches, like the rest of the swatches on the site these really don’t look the same. I really wish e.l.f would update their swatches!
But I absolutely LOVE these lipsticks!
Baby Lips is my favorite of the two Luscious Liquid Lipstick I own, the other being Ruby Slipper.
It is a gorgeous baby pink in the tube, but doesn’t really show up so pinky on the lips.
I love the formula of these ‘lipsticks’ but they are definitely more like lip glosses.
I am very happy with Baby lips and I’ll order more soon!
*All face swatches will be shown at the end in a ‘group’ picture
I LOVE the All Over COVER Sticks whether for foundation or concealer.
Just be careful when using it for concealer under the eyes, in can get cakey.
These are different from the All Over COLOR Sticks which are, obviously, colored.
I have an All Over Color Stick in Toasted, which I love, and use for highlighting!
Anyways, this is an excellent tool for quick or on-the-go foundation application that’s not messy at all.
You do have to be careful when you blend though, but it is creamy!
This is my first (of soon to be many!) Studio blush from e.l.f and I LOVE it!
It’s the perfect tone for my skin and I don’t have to worry about looking crazy with tons of blush on!
You can wear it sheer or build it up and it is BEAUTIFUL!
It looks just like NARS packaging, like most Studio packaging, but it is plastic, not rubber.
I’m very impressed!
e.l.f Zit Zapper
I can’t really review this because I always forget to use it!
But I will try to use it for about a month and then do an update.
e.l.f High Definition Powder
This is my favorite e.l.f product of all time.
It is so incredibly finely milled, I can’t even believe it!!
See my Foundation Routine post for a tutorial!
e.l.f All Over Cover Stick in Light Beige
e.l.f Studio Blush in Candid Coral (looks very orange, but it is pinker)
Same but blended
e.l.f Corrective Concealer Palette (I have no clue why I swatched this!)
I’m so sorry it took me so long to post this, but WordPress keeps rejecting it and I don’t know why.
I hope you enjoyed this extremely long post!!
*I’m close to having most of the e.l.f brushes so once I get there I will do a collective review!!!
So this is the haul I’m excited about!
(Reviews for everything soon)
I got the Studio Powder Brush
This brush is SO SOFT!
Then I got the Professional Crease Brush
Okay, next I got two eyeliners:
The Eye Widener (white eyeliner) and the Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Plum
The swatches look pretty good, but I’m really not impressed.
The regular eyeliners (not the Studio, I haven’t tried those yet) are okay, but these aren’t
The white one is very chalky and hard to apply.
I tried using it in the inner corner, but it doesn’t work!
Like I said, in depth review soon.
Next i got two of the ‘Essential’ Line Lipsticks
I got Classy and Seductive, which are BEAUTIFUL!
Okay, if you look at the swatch above you’ll see the next product:
The e.l.f All Over COVER (not color!) Stick in Light Beige.
People use this for concealer, but I don’t like it as much as liquid. I thought I’d try using it as a foundation so I’ll let you guys know.
I’m almost out of my e.l.f Tinted Moisturizer so I’ll probably pick up something new soon.
Anyways, the last thing I got is, ahhhhhh,
The e.l.f HD Powder!
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS!
It comes with this little powder puff which is VERY soft!
This powder is so unbelievably finely milled, it’s CRAZY!!!
I haven’t had much of a chance to play around with this, but people say it’s very messy, which it is.
However, I figured out a very easy way that I’ll share in it’s review!
Also I got the Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal as a free gift when you refer a friend which I now have ka-jillions of!
I hope you guys enjoyed this and I’ll have reviews up soon.
eyes lips face
Oh my gosh, you guys.
e.l.f cosmetics is the best thing ever.
Sure, it’s not exactly MAC quality, but it’s really good!
Most products are $1-$3, the highest being $6.
THAT IS NUTS!!!!
Seriously, if I could only use one makeup brand for the rest of my life I would choose e.l.f. UNLESS I didn’t have to pay for it, then MAC all the way baby!
I’m about to make another order, so I figured I’d show you guys what I already have with swatches.
So I took a few pictures, then my camera DIED.
SO I was reliant on my webcam!
First here is a picture of everything I own:
I also don’t own many studio items, but hopefully i will in the future.
I hear that the studio brushes are amazing quality, so maybe I will replace some of my older brushes with those soon!
Firstly: e.l.f Mineral Eyeshadow
THESE ARE AMAZING!
I can’t even begin to explain. The pictures do no justice.
THey are so incredibly pigmented and just beautiful!
My webcam didn’t do a very good job:
Bottom two rows: same without primer.
Now, I know you can’t really see the top row that well, so here are some more swatches I found here:
I believe the above three are all the colors, which I obviously don’t have.
These eyeshadows are AMAZING!
I don’t know what I’d do without them!
Next: e.l.f Essentials Brightening Eye Color
Beautiful pigmentation, the yellow is quite shimmery!
Teal is amazing!
Gorgeous! Very pigmented.
The lightest on the far left is a beautiful lilac with iridescent shimmer,
this picture does NO justice!
Primer on top rows.
The reddish-burgandy and light cream are beautiful.
They have the same iridescent shimmer as the lilac.
Bottom Row l to r: e.l.f All Over COLOR (not cover) Stick in Golden Peach, e.l.f Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow, same blush blended out.
The facial whip came as a free gift, but mine was filled with water and a TINY bit of product. I tried to squeeze some out and water shot out all over me!
The tinted moisturizer is horrible. I love e.l.f, but come on. It’s a teensy little tube, wrong shade, and doesn’t blend well.
The concealer and blush are excellent, they work really well.
The all over color stick is amazing! I use it above my brows and blend to highlight, and sometimes as bronzer.
I am ordering the all over COVER stick for a foundation type thing as it has many good reviews.
Bottom Row l to r: e.l.f Candy Shop liptin in Coconut Crazed, e.l.f Hypershine Gloss in Vixen, e.l.f Hypershine Gloss in Flirt, e.l.f Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Ruby Slipper.
The lip balm, if applied in layers actually shows up a pink color!
The liptin was also a free gift and I believe discontinued
I love the Hypershine Glosses, although they are a little sticky.
The liquid lipstick in Ruby Slipper on the site is RED, but it is actually a brown-reddish color with more brown to it.
Total Face Brush, ‘Blush, Bronzing, and Blending’ Brush, Foundation Brush, Eyeliner Brush, Concealer Brush, Eyeshadow Brush, and the Lip Defining brush.
Good quality brushes, but I’m sure the studio brushes are much better.
I have to eyebrow stencils too, but I only used them once, I just wanted to try out stencils, but I don’t like them much.
The only primer I’ve ever used is the e.l.f eyelid primer, so I can’t say much, but I like it and it gets the job done!
I won’t swatch these, ’cause my nails are pretty right now, but I have:
Chocolate, Fire Coral, Fuchsia, Fair Pink, Bubble Gum Pink, and Fluorescent Pink, I also have the Nourishing Cuticle Pen (it works, but is VERY hard on your cuticles)
Maybe it’s just my batch, but I really don’t like these nail polishes. They are runny and too sheer. I have to apply loads of coats just to be dented and chipped.
I sat for FOUR HOURS with Fair Pink, making sure each layer was perfectly dry before applying the next, and adding a no chip top coat, I was very upset with all the denting and scratching. A waste of four hours!
The only other thing I don’t like about e.l.f is that the colors on the site are definitely NOT true to what the colors really are.
Other than that, I’m in love!
